Low Fae

Low Fae are magical plants and animals that far exceed their non-magical counterparts. They are especially good as fimiliars for they can have powers ranging in strength.
Appearance

Low Fae range greatly in appearance, but in generally they all have some non-humoid shape. They can appear like an normal plant or animal, or they can have a mix of many different species.

Natural Attributes

Low Fae generally have SOME powers, some can even cast spells themselves. Compared to the everyday animal and plant, they are far smarter, able to outwit the most intelligible races. They are more resistant to nature's fury and can revive a lot easier than non-fae. Low Fae sometimes mate with non-fae producing a Fae/non-fae halfbreed.

Extra Bits of Information:

~Low Fae can usually speak the languages of the races
~Low Fae make good familiars for the fact that they can cast magic
~Low Fae came before non-Fae plants and animals

Now you can add your own Low Fae, but make sure it follows the format used above and doesn't brake any of the rules of the Low Fae. Any Spam will be deleted, this Forum is for Low Fae sunbraces only. Contact the Admin if you'd like any rules of the Low Fae altered or if you want to add suggestions.

The Phoenix

Phoenix are Holy Fae Birds that are generally more powerful than any other Low Fae. They are highly resistant to many things and are considered immortal.

Appearance

Phoenixes are Eagle-sized birds that have long elegant necks, large wings and wide fan-like Tail Feathers. They have a golden red coat and seem to give off a soft red light.

Natural Attributes

Phoenixes are Pyrokinetics (that is the ability to create and control fire), that have a resistance to pratically anything; Magic has no effect on them, fire only strengthens them (as does the sun), and water evaporates instantly.

Phoenixes do have other powers although much less important and only gained in age.

Much contradictory to the old legends, Phoenixes only live for a day. Their life cycle is based on the sun; they are born during the sunrise, die during the sunset and reborn the very next day. However they are still immortal (as previously stated) and can heal a lot more quickly than any other animal (yet again, when in sunlight).

Extra Bits of Information

~Phoenixes are considered "the Children of the Sun."
~Phoenixes were thought to be made in order to kill Vampires; their glare can weaken and kill any Vampire, much like the sun.
~A Phoenix's tear can restore the dead or dying to full health

The Drigger

The Drigger is the exact opposite of the Phoenix. While the Phoenix represents warmth, fire and light, the Drigger symbolizes cold, ice and darkness. They, like their counterparts, are more powerful than most Low Fae, resistant to most damage and considered immortal.

Appearance

The Drigger is very similiar to the Phoenix except that they are a silver blue with a soft blue light.

Natural Attributes

Driggers are Cyrokinetics (that is the ability to create and shape ice with the mind), that have a resistance to pratically anything; Magic has no effect on them, ice only strengthens them (as does the moon), and fire burns out instantly when it comes in contact with them. They can also manipulate darkness and use it as a kinetic force. They can heal more quickly than any other animal (yet again, when in moonlight).

Driggers do have other powers although much less important and only gained in age. They have more power during night (but when the moon is visible). During the day, they still have some powers if the moon is present. They are most powerful during the full moon and powerless during the new moon.

Driggers differ from Phoenixes for the fact that once born, they do not die of old age. A Drigger can only be born after a new moon.

Extra Bits of Information:

~Driggers are called the "Children of the Moon" and are a common familiar to Werewolves.
~The sight of a Drigger can calm a Werewolf down and reverse it into a Human.
~A Drigger's wail can revive weakened, dying or dead Werewolves.

Kitsune

Kitsune are nature hounds in the forms of foxes. They are bound spiritually to those who rescue them from danger. They are hopelessly devoted to those who saved them.

Appearance:

Kitsune are similiar to foxes except have wings that they can vary in size. Their ears are longer than the standard ear-size of a fox and can even by almost rabbit-like. Their usually have dark paws and ear tips when compared to the rest of their body, while the tip of their tail is paler than the rest of their body. Their tail splits into seperate tails as they age but it can be hidden to minimize speed hinderance.

They have a daimond-shaped gems on their forehead that are usually dark in colour. Their coat colour varies and can even by the most vibrant, metallic colours.

When dubbed a familiar they are given the ability to appear in a human-like form. They tend to make the appearance almost perfect, except with large, fox-like ears a black nose, a tail and sometimes wings.

Natural Attributes:

Kitsune have powers that strengthen and multiply as they age. All are born with illusion-based powers and the ability to perceive what is and isn't real.

When bound to someone, they can take human form and communicate with their guide telepathically. A lot of children are born from Kitsune/Guide pairings because of the Kitsune's ability to understand their Guide deeply and the Guide's resulting love from this understanding. All Kitsune are bound to their guides spiritually and through love, they are hopelessly devoted. (Note: this love can be similiar to a old brother / younger brother love or a mother / child love and may not be a sexual desire)

Kitsune can fade into spirit form as well as teleport and shapeshift. Their shapeshiftry isn't only limited to living things.

A guide is impervius to all Kitsune powers and can sense them at all times. This also goes for Kitsune and their owners. However, if a Guide ever tries to strike their Kitsune familiar (although this would have no effect) the Kitsune would be free, however the love bond may still remain.

Extra Bits of Information:

~Kitsune are immortal
~Kitsune can not die forever and will be revived after a some time
~Kitsune can also possess others, but only those who are evil do this without relunctance, it is frowned upon in Kitsune society to do so
~Kitsune can spend part of their lifeforce toward the healing of their guide
~Kitsune can grant one wish to their guide at the cost of their lives
