| Alchemist
An Alchemist is very similar
to a chemist, but not only do they mix potions, they can also distort
reality and material objects into something new.
Possible Skills
Alchemists can mix potions to have all sorts of effects. They are usually
very knowledgable about nature.
What sets them apart from chemists is their ability to also distort
reality, turning some objects into other objects. This of course, is
kept within reason and is never too drastic of a change.
Common weapons
Alchemists don't have much of a common weapon, although it's usually
nothing large.
Similar Classes
Alchemists are similar to Chemists.
Archer
This one is just a given.
The only difference is that the archer may use magically enhanced bolts
or arrors.
Possible Skills:
Archers have excellent aim. Some are skilled in creating arrows from
elemental or non-elemental magics.
Common Weapons:
Mostly bow and arrow, although they will sometimes use other weapons,
such as close range weapons, at the same time.
Similar Classes:
Archers are similar to Rogues, who often use the same weapons.
Assassin
Assassin are the equivalent
of lot's of training. They are light on their toes, and swifter than
a lightning bolt. You won't be able to hear them coming, and in no time
at all they kill their target.
Possible Skills:
Skills that help them stay hidden, tracking skills, and the ability
to move silently are all very usefull skills for an assassin. They may
also use extensive magics to aid them.
Common Weapons:
They range in many assorted weapons including (but not limited to) katanas,
kunai, daggers, and shurikens. Basically, anything light, fast, more
or less easy to use.
Similar Classes:
Assassins have skills similar to theives. They may also double as vampire
hunters or werewolf hunters, as those classes require similar skills.
Bards
Intelligent and personable,
they prefer to accomplish tasks with their words first, and weapon second.
They have knowlegde on a lot of subjects, being tavelling story-tellers.
Most Bards have melodic voices.
Possible Skills:
Bards are talented with simple spells. They may use singing or chanting
as a way to cast spells.
Common Weapons:
Simple weaponry; nothing that takes great strength to use, and is still
effective. They sometimes have enchanted weapons to increase their power.
Similar Classes:
Spellcasters, Mages, Wizards and Dancers are similar classes.
Battle Mage
A Battle Mage is a Spellcaster
who uses their magic to aid their physical fighting skills. They are
one of the most powerful magical warriors.
Possible
Skills:
Battle Mages are skilled in all forms of elemental magic, which they
use much like an Enchanter would. They are also efficient in Arcane
Spells (those with lasting effects) but not as much as a true Mage.
Common weapons:
They use larger or more agressive weapons than regular mages, combining
physical attacks with magical attacks. They use anything from daggers
to long swords, axes, bows, ect, although nothing as heavy as what a
warrior would use.
Similar Classes:
A battle mage could be called similar to most classes, depending on
what kind of magics and weapons said battle mage uses.
Beast Master
The name is pretty much
self explanitory, but to add to this, most Beast-Masters can speak the
tongue of their desired animal(s).
Possible Skills:
Beast-masters may call upon the spirits of slained beasts to possess
them and in turn make them more powerful and agile. Some Beast-Masters
can shapeshift.
Common Weapons:
Beast Masters usually carry no weaponds but use the brute, instinctual
animal force that possesses them (although some make use of large crude
weapons).
Similar Classes:
Beast masters are similar to (although the technical opposite of) poachers.
Cleric
Much like "Traveling
Priests", Clerics are the equivalent of a paladin more powerful
skill but less strength. Most Clerics travel on foot to pray to gods,
goddesses and deities for a better world.
Possible Skills:
Clerics usually use spells that come from their diety of choice.
The actual spells depend on the diety served. (see religions)
Common Weapons:
They usually use Staves, Wands, and Rods.
Similar Classes:
A cleric is similar to a paladin.
Crusader
A combatant who wields the
power of brute strength and medicinal knowledge. Cheating death after
every fight, they rely on their keen knowledge of restoration to fight
yet again.
Possible Skills:
Crusaders, as previously mentioned, have knowledge of restoration magics
(healing, curing poisions, ect) They also have a lot of brute strength
on their side. However, they usually use no offensive magic.
Common Weapons:
Crusaders are known to use heavier weapons, such as the larger swords,
axes, warhammers, ect.
Similar Classes:
A crusader is similar to a barbarian or battle mage.
Dancer
Dancers, while usually female,
can sometimes be male. They perform in public to mesmerize their opponents
with their beauty and amazing moves.
Possible Skills[b]
A dancer uses mainly magic, which is cast through their dancing.
[b]Common Weapons:
They usually have weapons that will blend in and seem like they're used
for dancing (sashes, ect) But also have been known to use other weapons.
Similar Classes:
This class is somewhat similar to a bard.
Dragon Slayer
Dragon Slayers are very strong
and agile Hunters that may be able to manipulate the elements, a much
needed skill to deflect the flames of a Dragon. It is a DS custom to
make the scales of slain dragons into armour and wear them. They tend
to be very rich since Dragon Slaying is a much needed profession in
some areas, as well as the sale Dragon Scale Armour.
Druid
The Druid is a fractioned of
all magic that pertains to nature. All Druids strive for the balance
of nature, for that is their purpose.
Geomancer
Geomancers are warriors with
limited abilities at controlling nature, except unlike most, they can
use odd things like inanimate objects to their advantage. They can even
use people's DNA as attacks against them, which will kill the enemy
instantly. In turn, they have limits to how many times they are able
to use it in their lifetime.
Mages
Mages are the "Rogues"
of all forms of magic. They aren't necessarily very powerful but they
usually can master a lot of forms of magic but it takes centuries for
a Mage to perfect this art. This is why most Humans do not make it as
Mages.
Medium
Mediums are those who can communicate
with the spirits of the dead. Most Mediums were once, or still are,
Necromancers. Mediums may also act as a temporary body for those who
can communicate with the dead, allowing a spirit to possess them so
that they can get what they want to say through.
Necromancer
Necromancer's are Masters of
the Dead. They are very similar to Warlocks save the fact that they
can raise the dead. Most Necromancers adorn themselves in Bone-style
Armour.
Ninja
Ninjas are formidable fighters
in many aspects, they have many different kinds of skills.
Possible skills
They have top notch speed and are one of the most powerful classes.
They excell in stealth and use both physical strength and magics together.
Common weapons
They use various weapons, but mainly range with Kunai and Shurikens.
Similar Classes
Paladin
Paladins are Holy Knights that
are talented with both weaponry and magic. They are the exact opposite
of Warlocks. The spells they cast are simple and mostly for protection.
All magic is granted from the deities they worship.
Poacher
Poachers are the natural enemies
of Beast Masters; these cruel hunters steal the properties of the animals
the hunt after every death. They may also shapeshift into a chosen animal.
Ranger
Rangers are a Warrior-Druid
Mix. They can cast some spells and are skilled with most weapons. Rangers
are very talented at surviving.
Rogue
Rogues are a jack-of-all-trades.
They master at practically anything from simple magic to swordsman skills.
Most Rogues don't master all skills, but only enough of each. Rogues
are very crafty and resourceful.
Also, when the word "Rogue" is used as a prefix before any
profession, it may mean that they were once that profession but have
recently given up and stopped training. Otherwise it can mean when someone
from a profession still trains but not in the way their "supposed
to." For example, a Rogue Druid can mean that the Druid has lost
care for the balance but still uses their powers to manipulate nature.
Scout
Swift on foot, and clever with
spells, they use distance as their ally. Slower adversaries are fodder
for their arrows. Also known as Trackers, they are talented at following
tracks, reading nature and finding the hiddenmost enemies.
Sorcerer
A Sorcerer is a spellcaster
with innate powers. They tend to learn spells a lot faster but can not
control their powers as well as a wizard.
Summoner
A summoner is an evolved mage
with the power to call enormous beast to either heal them, or attack
the enemy. The Beasts are filled with immense power can only do a few
attacks before they dissapear.
Thieves
Thiefs are very similiar to
Rogues and Assassins, except that they have lock picking capabilities.
Most Thieves have vast knowledge on a lot of items, both magical and
non-magical, due to the fact that most have seen and stolen a lot of
artifacts.
Warloc
A Warlock is very similiar
to a Paladin, except that they serve the evil deities. They have the
capabilities of a warrior but may cast small hexes and charms to benefit
themselves and defeat their enemies. All their magic is derived from
the deities they worship.
Time Mage
A time mage is an evolved mage
with the power to speed, slow or stop time. Time mages have skills that
speed time for them, slow time for the enemy, and completely stop time
for one person. They also have the ability to immobilize their enemy,
or even stop their attacks.
