| Nera
The southern continent of
the Elfin.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a177/Zane_alton/nera.png
Overview
There are two basic kinds of culture in Nera, the "New Elfin"
and the "Traditional Elfin".
New Elfin is the more human based culture, living in towns and cities
and farming.
Traditional Elfin is a more migratory lifestyle, where they live in
sub-clans within their clans, traveling when they need, staying when
they can. This is much more reliant on the clan mentality. (see legends
: story behind elfin clans)
History
A thousand years ago, the Elfin lived basically isolated on their near-island.
Their culture was their own, untouched by any other. Then the humans
came, wanting to expand on their own territory. At first, there was
peace, but since the Elfin would not give up their home and the humans
would not share, there was a brutal war. In the end, the war was one
by one man. (see legends: story behind elfin clans)
About four hundred years later, the human culture had mixed with the
Elfin culture. Towns began popping up in the Taura. They were mixing
more or less peacefully, when things broke out in an explosion. Many
Elfin, those who would not comply with the new Elfin way, the more human
way, were being exiled and mistreated. This is what started the Rebellion
War.
Eventually, it ended when the rebel Elfin and their mixed human allies
overthrew the tyrranical human ruler of Nera.
Current Events
Lately, the tension between all Elfin and the humans in En'Treilldęi
has been growing.
Rumors have been going around that the Elfin are preparing for some
sort of strike back, whether it be in plain sight or secretly.
Achron
The primitive continental
area of the Centuars and Giants.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a177/Zane_alton/Achron.png
Inhabitants
This area is mainly inhabited by the nomadic Centuars and the somewhat
primitive Giant races. Other races dwell here, too, but these are the
main.
Landscape
The south-western area is almost all plains, with rare, small forests
and some lakes and rivers. The northern tip is frozen most of the year
around and is plains as well. The south eastern tip has more trees and
is more elevated, with hills and the beginnings of mountains.
History
Not much is known about this section of Luz Verhaal.
Rok'Thaxa
Rok'Thaxa is a swampy, foresty
continent in the southern hemisphere.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a177/Zane_alton/rokthaxa.png
Overview
Rok'Thaxa is inhabited by the Elben and Half-elben. The Most Remote
Regions belong to the Elben while the Half-Elben call the fringes of
this swamp their home.
Rumours have been passed that in the centre of this very land, a portal
to another demension has been opened, the reason why they are so many
Elben for such a small land.
History
For millenia upon millenia the Elben have lived in quite solitude. However,
recently Humans and Other Elves have discovered them and the population
of the Half-Elben began to rise.
Cuurent Events
The Elben and Half-Elben are usually a rare sight as no one really enters
there land. But with the rise of the V/W-H rumour, they are becoming
a common sight on the borders of their land...
(NOTE FROM GEELDAN: Please do not touch, construction still in progress)
En'Treilldęi
The fertile continent of
the humans.
http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a177/Zane_alton/entreilldei.png
Overview
The Humans have a tendancy to expand, to explore and to mix with other
cultures. This has caused them to be widespread and near impossible
to catagorize. However, those in En'Treilldęi have a system of order
that is based mostly around the main religion of Luz Verhaal. (see religions)
History
It's said that the humans origonally came frome the Stromm Badlands
when Gortha first exploded and completely ruined their homeland. They
mostly moved south into En'Treilldęi, which popular belief states was
origonally home to the lost Elfyn Race (see legends and history). The
humans thrived there, and their population grew and grew until they
felt the need to expand.
Some went north, some east, some west. In some places, there was conflict.
(see other regions) Eventually, though, the Humans ended up mixing with
all the other races.
Current Events
Lately, the Vampire-Werewolf Halfbreeds have been centralized here....
or so rumors say.
